At the Bellevue Veterinary Clinic, we have a number of in-house diagnostic machines (blood, biochemistry & urine analysers) to assist with an on-the-day diagnosis for your pet. In-house digital x-ray is often required for orthopaedic and emergency cases and provides an invaluable insight into gastrointestinal and bone health. Surgery

Surgery, Dentistry & Therapeutic Laser

Desexing is an important aspect of companion pet preventative health. We encourage desexing your pet for a range of welfare and health reasons. Routinely in the past, desexing was performed around 6mo of age. While this is still suitable for smaller breed dogs and cats, this recommendation is outdated for larger dogs and some specific breeds. To discuss desexing your pet, please call or visit the clinic.

In addition to routine desexing, we also offer non-routine surgery (lump removal, abdominal surgery, cherry eye repair, entropion, femoral head & neck ostectomy etc), emergency surgery, dental cleanings and tooth extractions

We provide therapeutic laser therapy for wounds, muscle damage, joint pain and more! Many conditions benefit from laser, get in touch with our team to see if your pet is a candidate for this type of treatment!

 Geriatric & Palliative Care

Elderly pets require more veterinary attention as they age. We focus on safe geriatric pet medicine and routinely encourage senior blood panels to ensure the safety of medications used long term. As your pet enters the twilight years, changes become evident on the outside and hidden changes may be missed if not screened for.

We aim to keep your pet comfortable with a good quality of life until the time comes. This can be achieved through a range of environmental modifications, physiotherapy and medications. We assess each pet as an individual and will choose the right treatment for their certain needs.

On your last visit we give your pet the utmost respect and care when assisting them to cross the rainbow bridge. We offer in-clinic or at home euthanasia. We also provide you with after-life options such as cremation
